Hello Changes!

This post was originally supposed to happen before we moved, but packing and life got in the way.
In my months of blogging absence we looked for a new house and at the perfect time, we found a home that was a great fit for us and got ready to move! Then, on Saturday, after a week of packing, we moved to our new house.
The new house in almost exactly 1 mile from our townhouse, so we know we like the area already and can easily find all of the shopping, plus the people we have met so far have been very nice! We have renters moving into the townhouse on Friday and I guess we're going to get a dose of what it's like to be landlords, cross your fingers for us!
Why did we move you might ask? Well, the new house is a rambler (something we have wanted~and even something that at times I have really needed~ since my run in with bi-lateral femoral neuropathy). Everything being on the main floor has been super awesome for the 5 whole days we've lived there, even better than I thought!
It was funny talking with McKinley about the move beforehand. We had to explain that she got to take everything with her, even her bike and her bed. She was super disappointed when she found out it was not next door to my sister Jenni (because she adores her cousin Chase to a level I can't even being to explain) which was pretty funny. She has only been upset and wanted to go to the "old home" twice; once because we don't have stairs that go upstairs and then because she thought a celing fan was ugly! Man, that girl cracks me up!
I don't often find myself feeling sentimental, but as we were leaving the townhouse, it was empty and that felt weird. I could see the stair that Molly loved to sit on, the window sill she climbed into and the windows she peeked out of on her tiptoes; I saw the closet McKinley loved to hid in during hide and seek, the counter spot that she sat on to help bake and the bedroom she read and played in. I was glad to have those sweet memories ~and many more~ and to have lived next to all of my wonderful neighbors, who I will miss seeing as we played in front of the house or rode bikes down the alley! I'm so happy we had the chance to make those memories and here's to the new ones to come!

Easter Weekend

Easter weekend was pretty busy at our house! On Saturday we had two birthday parties...one for Chase and one for Brynlee both of who were turning one. The girls were super excited to go see their cousins.
Before the parties, we started the day by going to Dunford and getting some doughnuts...oh how we love Dunford! Then the birthday parties (which excluding an hour nap for Molly, kept us busy from 10 am - 3:45 pm :) ), Ikea for some curtains and home just in time for dying eggs and having relax time and bed for the girls.

Sunday morning Molly woke up with a swollen, goopy eye. That, however, did not stop her from having some Easter fun. McKinley and Molly got their baskets, found eggs and ate lots of candy all before 10!

For the first time I got the girls matching dresses and I think they looked so cute! I ended up taking Molly to the doctor instead of church, so the picture is staged, but I wanted both of them in their cute church dresses!
Later that night we had an Easter Egg Hunt that Grandma and Grandpa put together for the kids. I wish I had a picture of the yard before the kids started hunting...there were eggs everywhere! They had a great time finding the eggs and collecting them in their baskets. I love the smiles they all had on their faces as they ran from one egg to the next! Between dinner, cousin time, visiting, playing on the playground, the Easter Egg Hunt and then opening the eggs to see their new treasures, my girls were exhausted!

It was a busy, fun weekend. Coming up this week...packing for the move Saturday!

What do you title a post when you haven’t blogged in 4 months?

Wow, is it really April already! Natalie informed me that with her three blog posts this year so far that she is beating me and all of my sisters. It wasn't until that moment that I realized I haven't blogged once in 2012! What can I say? We've been busy?! Here is a little update...I'm going to work backwards!
March brought some funny things to our house. There was a lot of dancing in the living room, climbing into places we don't belong, family movie time, play time, a trip to Wheeler Farm and biking in the abnormally warm weather! Robbie and I also snuck in a date to the Hunger Games (thanks to the awesome babysitters aka Uncle Jon and Uncle Ty)!

February was full of love with Valentine's Day, a family trip to the reunion in Bear Lake over presidents and yet another date night...in the form of Robbie's work even where we attended the Jazz Game in a Sky Box...so fun!

(anybody know why I can't turn this picture, it's the other way in my files I downloaded from?)
January was a busy month, I think two pictures were taken. I'm pretty bad at that! We had our first long drive with Molly, when we drove to Boise for my cousin Audri's wedding reception. The girls were awesome and I was pleasantly surprised. McKinley kept saying that Audri looked like a princess. We also had our annual outing to the Ute Gymnastics meet and sat way up at the top!
December came and went in a flurry of busy-ness... lights, parties...reindeer...elves...birthday's...date night...it was a great month, here are some highlights from December:
Robbie's Birthday-again no pics, but I assure you, it was epic!
Christmas

Seriously, why is it doing this to my pictures?

Funny Christmas memory - 1. McKinley laying her head on the table in defeat and desperation, crying because breakfast looked "disguding" . It was a breakfast casserole I made in the crock pot the night before, because church was so early and I still wanted to eat something our of the norm for Christmas breakfast.
2. Being locked out of the house before opening our presents...and Robbie breaking in 3. Me injuring Robbie with the box from my present because I was so stoked about what was inside!
