Working

A long, hard, busy and frustrating week of work has left me very excited for the weekend. And what better way to kick off a Friday than evacuating the building for a fire. Funny enough the fire was outside, so evacuating the building actually put us closer to the flames.
It's kind of a funny story. We looked out the window and a garbage truck was on fire....or at least the garbage inside of it was! The garbage truck driver dumped the burning garbage in the parking lot, so his truck wouldn't start on fire. Then the fire trucks arrived, I'm not going to lie, having a fire was kind of a nice distraction for a little while today. Here are some pictures from a cell phone:

Lins - I am so glad you posted these pics on your blog! This was my favorite part of the work day too; an event to be remembered and reminisced about for OE seasons to come.

I truly appreciate what a nightmare week you've had at work and I want you to know that you are a superstar and one of the best CPMs around, no matter what SVU thinks!

P.S. You're coming back on Monday, right?

(So lame that it says I removed a comment. It had a spelling error so I deleted it to re-try.)

Ha! Yes, I'm coming back! Honestly, I don't think it can get worse than this last week!

wha???

You had a bad week? OK. List of things for me to add to my OE To-Do pile:

Learn to be aware of those whose desks are 5 feet from me.

Learn the difference between someone having a crappy week, and a decent week.

Wait, I think the problem isn't me...it's that you never let on that you're having a crappy week!!! You just take everything in stride. You are a good example to me.

Yeah, how sad that the garbage truck was the highlight of the year. Sadly, Barb and I were not even THERE. We were at the DC. We must have been driving out RIGHT as the garbage truck was coming in, all ablaze. Just the two of us, just-a-chattin' away!
