Robbie's Favorite Cookie

Robbie was making some of his favorite cookies on Sunday...oatmeal butterscoth. McKinley heard the noise of the kitchen aid and just had to see what was going on!

Happy Birthday Abi!

My little niece Abi turned 1 this week! We went swimming at the pool to help in the birthday celebrations! It was also McKinley's first time in a pool, she seemed to have a fun time.

First Trip to the Mountains

This weekend we took McKinley up to Butterfield Canyon to cook hot dogs and smores. Of course, all she got to eat was her formula and I think she was a little disappointed.
This is the face she pulled when we told her we were going to the mountains, I'm pretty sure she was thinking "what are mountains?"

Weekend in Bear Lake

Well, we took McKinley on her first trip to Bear Lake. We go up every year for Raspberry Days for a family reunion. We’ve had some fun times at the cabin, though someone usually gets hurt and something gets broken (part of our bumper was a casualty of the beach last year). This year was pretty quite that way, no one was hurt, the Xterra is still intact and to top it all off, we had a great time.
Ready to go! Isn't she cute in the sunglasses from Grandma Marla?!

All tuckered out…..go Utes!

Robbie took her out to see if she liked the water, she was a little unsure. In the background are the cousins (and Kinley's uncles) playing on the water tramp, maybe next year she can try!
I came to the beach too and McKinley and I hung out while her dad played on the wave runners
Who knew that Robbie and McKinley had the same hat size?

Funny Faces

So, we're always telling people about the funny faces Kinley pulls, but she won't perform in front of crowds. So, here are a few of her many faces from the last few days!
"I'm scared, but I don't know why"
"Are you sure about that?"

"Is this my hand or a rattle?"
"How are you...really?"
"Stop looking at me!"

Funny Story

Ok, so Robbie accuses me of using this blog to make fun of him, so I guess I will! Some of you know that Robbie is the king of one car accidents, I've never met anyone who has hit more objects than he has. Here are just those I remeber:
1. A tree
2. Rolled his Jeep
3. Hit a snowbank
4. Hit a cinderblock
5. Hit a garbage can
6. Hit a ditch (yes, it was deeper than he thought!)
7. A deer
8. A garbage can (again and this time pushed it into the garage)
9. A chipmunk
Well, about a week or so ago he had his first two car accident. I wasn't sure if I should congratulate him for finally getting in a legitimate collision or be upset because once again it involved the Subaru's bumper and I was afraid we'd have to fix it....again!
So here's the story. He was driving downtown and the car in front of him was slowing down to go around a corner, well Robbie slowed down too and everything seemed fine. Then, all of the sudden the guy slams on his brakes and turns into the Exit Only driveway for a bank. Needless to say, the Subaru's soft brakes did not stop the car in time, so BUMP...he hit an old car with elderly gentlemen driving. So, Robbie, being the responsibile person he is, pulled into the bank behind the gentleman and was getting out of the car to talk to him. As the gentlemen got out of his car he had papers in hand and Robbie thought, oh great, insurance is going to have to be involved! Then Robbie was walking up to talk to him when the old man just went inside the bank. Robbie looked at the cars and there was no damage, to be fair it was a small bump. Robbie's next thought was, I should tell him I hit his car.....then he decided if there's no damage and the guy didn't know he was hit, why confess. So, that's right....Robbie's first two car accident was a hit and run....I'm so proud!

Two Month Check Up

McKinley went in for her 2 month check up today (she's 10 1/2 weeks old now!). She is 24 inches long and weighs 12 pounds! She's getting so big, I can't believe it! She was a pretty good sport, of course she cried when she got her shots and it was the saddest cry I've ever heard, but it didn't last long. Here's a picture of our growing little girl after her appointment...she's already smiling again!
